Ueli is a visiting PhD student from DTU Transport at the REACT Lab. His research focuses on how cyclists’ energy expenditure shapes behavior, particularly how physical effort can be represented in route choice models and used to explain responses to infrastructure and network conditions in urban cycling. He has a Master’s degree in Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems from ETH Zurich and worked as an Urban Planner at Gehl in Copenhagen. His wider research interests lie in active mobility, urban design, street and network conditions for cycling, and the relationship between transportation systems and more livable cities.
