We are always on the lookout for exceptionally bright and eager students to join our team. We are looking for students who are (in this order):
- Passionate about sustainable transportation,
- Good communicators,
- Independent and creative thinkers, and
- Proficient at technical analysis.
We seek a diversity of perspectives, backgrounds, cultures, and personalities in our lab, and encourage applicants from un(der)-represented groups. Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) positions are limited and competitive, partly because the team is moderately-sized so that we can work closely with every student in the lab.
Representative minimum qualifications for students in our group include:
For prospective PhD students:
- A master’s degree with high marks from a reputable institution,
- Demonstrated research interest related to REACT Lab projects,
- At least one academic paper accepted in a high-quality venue (well-respected journal or peer-reviewed conference such as TRB), and
- Excellent English language skills (for international students, minimum TOEFL or IELTS scores of 110 or 8, respectively).
For prospective Master’s students:
- A bachelor’s degree with high marks from a reputable institution,
- Research interest related to REACT Lab projects,
- Excellent English language skills (for international students, minimum TOEFL or IELTS scores of 110 or 8, respectively).
- Students who pursue and receive funding through outside scholarships or fellowships greatly increase their likelihood of admission.
